Rusty and the Whims of Destiny – The Dairy Dilemma (Episode 2)

Rusty_chronicles

Morning cracked open with the sound of a cow sneezing —
yes, sneezing, like a grumpy old man refusing to get out of bed.
Rusty chuckled, balancing a bucket that leaked slightly,
wondering how a bucket can betray you more often than people.

The worker shuffled in, half awake,
and poured the fodder in all the wrong places.
One cow stared at him as if to say,
“Really? After all these years, this is what you’ve learned?”

Rusty sighed, but only half-seriously.
Life, he thought, is stitched together by little mistakes—
a spilled bucket, grass not chopped fine enough,
a worker who believes scolding is an insult to his dignity.

And yet, in the middle of this clumsy comedy,
the milk still foamed warm,
the cows still chewed thoughtfully,
and the sun still stretched its golden arms across the courtyard.

Rusty scribbled in his diary later:
“Today the worker grumbled, the cow sneezed,
the bucket leaked, and still—
there was milk in my glass, sweet as memory.”

He paused, smiled.
Maybe life was not about avoiding every sour note,
but about learning to sip the sweetness
while the background music of mistakes played on.

Destiny, watching from some hilltop,
shook its head and laughed—
for Rusty had turned a messy morning
into a story that tasted like chai:
a little bitter, a little sweet,
but warming the heart all the same.
